Platform Terms of Use
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING TO MAKE A PAYMENT.
These terms of use ("Terms of Use") together with our privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") and cookie policy (“Cookie Policy”) manage your use of this Website and Vizme App (together, the "Platform"). By using our Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use in full. If we believe you have not followed these Terms of Use then we have the right to disable your account and prevent you from using the Platform.
Our Platform is directed to people residing in the United Kingdom. We cannot guarantee that content available on or through our Platform is appropriate for use or available in other locations.
Who we are and what we do.
Vizme is owned and operated by Velo Payments Limited, registered in England and Wales under Us number 10613628 and have our registered office at Suite 1, 7th Floor, 50 Broadway, London, United Kingdom, SW1H 0BL (‘We’ ‘Velo’ or ‘Vizme). Our principal office is strategically located at Suite 1, 7th Floor, 50 Broadway, London, United Kingdom, SW1H 0BL.
We provide a mobile and web-based solution to offer Open Banking services that allows you to make payments to Merchants or individuals through accounts that you connect via the Vizme platform. We're recognized as a payment technology entity, distinctively not an authorised Payment Initiation Services Provider ("PISP"). We partner with Yapily LTD API to connect your payments pursuant to the Payment services (PSD 2) - Directive (EU) 2015/2366. We utilize Yapily services for payment transactions operated through our website or app, using Yapily Connect Ltd, which is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under number 827001.
As Yapily serves as the PISP for Transactions executed through our Services, you simultaneously consent to adhere to the Yapily Connect End User Terms as they evolve over time. Please note, these are third-party terms. Consequently, the Velo does not bear any liability concerning them or your agreement to them.

We are not responsible for your transaction
Whilst payments are facilitated through Vizme QR codes or the Platform, Vizme and/or Velo do not process any payments. We operate the QR code payment structure through the use of Open Banking and Yapily (further details on Yapily and Open Banking can be found https://www.yapily.com.) All payment transactions are processed using your own banking app.
If, for example, your transaction is declined or you experience another issue, such as duplicate or fraudulent transactions, please contact your bank immediately.
Payments initiated via the Platform undergo standard security checks by their respective banks. You should proceed cautiously when transacting with known Merchants or other individuals. Merchants should ascertain the authenticity of Consumers. Vizme is not liable for:
- Actions stemming from reliance on content displayed via the Platform.
- Interactions you have with third parties, including the PISP, your bank, and other service providers through our Platform.
- Always exercise discretion, and consider seeking expert advice when needed.
OWNERSHIP AND USE OF THE SERVICES.
Vizme, its licensors or its third party vendors own all right, title, and interest to the Services, all content on the Services, including all text, documents, information, data, articles, images, photographs, graphics, software, applications, video recordings, audio recordings, sounds, designs, features, and other materials.
Limited License. Vizme grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Platform, subject to your compliance with these Terms of Use, including, without limitation, the restrictions on the use of the Platform. Vizme may, in its sole discretion, suspend, discontinue or terminate this license to you at any time (and from time to time) for any or no reason.
You're granted a limited license solely for viewing our Content. Specific actions are prohibited:
- Publishing or displaying any Content on other media, except for sharing links to our Platform.
- Selling, sublicensing, or otherwise monetising any Content.
- Using the Platform in a way that damages it or affects its availability.
- Using the Platform against applicable laws, or in a harmful manner to individuals or entities.
- Engaging in data mining, harvesting, or similar activities related to our Platform.
- Using the Platform for advertising or marketing.
Reserved Rights. Vizme reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify, suspend, discontinue or permanently cancel any or all of the Platform. operation or portions thereof, with or without notice to you. You acknowledge and agree that Vizme shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, discontinuation or cancellation of any or all of the Platform’s operation.
Your personal information
We do not collect data from you and at no point during the payment process. We might store Your bank account number and sort code via our Platform as long as you are an Vizme App user.

For the seamless operation of our Platform, we monitor user activity. You consent to this monitoring by using our services to ensure compliance with our Terms of Use.

All Payments via Vizme are made from the Consumer to either the Merchant or another Consumer, with Yapily functioning as the PISP. For an understanding of how Yapily manages your personal data, please consult their Privacy Policy on their official website. The Merchant bears responsibility for the personal data submitted on the Platform. Both Merchants and Consumers recognize that Vizme shall not be liable for any unauthorized sharing or misuse of personal data caused by a Merchant.
Your responsibilities for your account details
Your login information is your responsibility to protect, keep it confidential and do not share it with others.
We reserve the right to deactivate any user, whether set by you or given by us, if we believe you've violated these Terms of Use.
If you believe someone else might have access to your account, please notify us immediately at hey@vizme.com.
The Platform may not always be available
We cannot guarantee continuous or uninterrupted availability of our Platform and its content. For operational needs, we might suspend, limit, or withdraw parts or the entirety of our Platform. We'll aim to provide you with reasonable notice if such actions are taken.
Certain situations beyond our control, such as internet outages or telecommunications infrastructure disruptions, might impact the availability of our Platform. We cannot be held accountable for interruptions or inconveniences caused by such external events.
What happens if something goes wrong
If you suspect discrepancies in payments You initiated through Vizme – whether unauthorised, incorrect, or improperly executed – immediately contact us for a thorough review at hey@vizme.com.
Vizme’s liability
We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
You agree not to use our Platform for any commercial or business purposes. Consequently, even if we breach these Terms, we will not be liable for business interruptions, lost profits, or missed opportunities. Unless lawfully inapplicable, our maximum liability for any damages or losses you might incur due to or during your usage of our Platform is capped at £100.
How to use the Vizme App
Eligibility:
Consumers must be aged 18 or over to register for a Consumer Account.
Registration Process:
- Download the Consumer App.
- Register by submitting the following Registration Information:
- Full name.
- Phone number.
- Postal code.
- Ensure that all Registration Information is accurate and current.
Bank Account Connection:
After registering, Consumers will be prompted within the Consumer App to link their bank account by providing:
- Account number.
- Sort code.
This connection allows the use of the Service for sending and receiving payments. Bank account connections are established via an AIS API call with the Consumer's banking app, leveraging Yapily's Open Banking license.
Additional Verification:
Upon request, You may be asked to provide additional information and relevant documentation. This ensures our compliance with prevailing laws and regulations and verifies the Consumer's identity and activities.
- Use the Platform to upload, transmit, distribute, store or otherwise make available in any way: files that contain viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful
- Any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, solicitations, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other prohibited form of solicitation;
- Any private information of any third party, including addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, number and feature in the personal identity document (e.g., National Insurance numbers, passport numbers) or credit card numbers
- Any material which does or may infringe any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property or privacy rights of any other person
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent you or your affiliation with any person or entity, including giving the impression that any content you upload, post, transmit, distribute or otherwise make available emanates from the Platform
- Intimidate or harass another, or promote sexually explicit material, violence or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age
- Any material which is defamatory of any person, obscene, offensive, pornographic, hateful or inflammatory
- Any material that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offence, dangerous activities or self-harm
- Any material that is deliberately designed to provoke or antagonize people, especially trolling and bullying, or is intended to harass, harm, hurt, scare, distress, embarrass or upset people
- Any material that contains a threat of any kind, including threats of physical violence
- Any material that is racist or discriminatory, including discrimination on the basis of someone’s race, religion, age, gender, disability or sexuality; or
- Material that, in the sole judgment of Vizme, is objectionable.
Vizme reserves the right, in its sole discretion at any time without prior notice to remove or suspend your access to our Platform.
We may make changes to the Terms of Use or this Platform
We may periodically update our Platform and Terms of Use based on evolving services, user requirements, legal requirements and business priorities. While we reserve the right to make changes without prior notification, we'll make an effort to inform you when feasible.
Continued use of our Platform after changes to the Terms of Use indicates your acceptance of the updated terms. Any updates will supersede previous versions.

Can I or Vizme transfer these Terms of Use to anyone else?
Vizme may assign, transfer, or subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms of Use without notifying you, as long as your rights remain unaffected.
These Terms of Use are personal to you; thus, you may not assign or transfer your rights to anyone else, ensuring that only you benefit from them.
Notice regarding Apple.
By downloading the Vizme App from the Apple App Store (“Apple”) You agree and understand that Apple is not a party to these Terms of Use.
Which country's laws apply to any disputes?
If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
